Good storytelling is the foundation of effective communication and effective communication is the key characteristic of all successful endeavors.  With over 30 years of experience in a broad range of communication specialties I provide an objective perspective to develop the stories of business, technology, science and medicine.  I am multi-media savvy and will work with you and your associates to develop clear, concise, compelling and credible stories in the form of business and marketing plans, website content, ad copy, articles, white papers or video scripts.

I have worked for a broad spectrum of clients on projects ranging from the fluffiest ad copy—a sentimental holiday poem for a local hotel—to hard-core technical writing—documenting C++ modeling and simulation code.  My specialty is geek-to-English translation: making highly technical scientific information accessible and interesting for an average IQ audience.  I have won numerous awards for my commercial writing including 30 national and international awards for videos written for Sandia National Laboratories. My favorite challenge is helping high-tech start-ups communicate the vision of their business model and technology, however  I am continuously developing new subject matter expertise and expanding my diverse project portfolio.  

While my commercial writing pays the bills, fiction, essays,  poetry and non-fiction feed my soul. You can read some of it on this site in the Writing Portfolio. I am under contract with Schiffer Publishing to complete a book manuscript entitled Santa Fe Ghosts by June 2008.  Look for it Summer 2009.
